Terms & Conditions of Service

By booking or continuing to use any service provided by The Dirt Destroyers Ltd, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Acceptance & Contact

By using our services, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

You agree that The Dirt Destroyers Ltd may contact you by telephone, SMS, email, or post regarding your service, billing, or account.

2. Service Overview

  • Our residential bin cleaning service is provided on a 4-weekly scheduled basis.
  • A minimum commitment of 6 cleans applies to all residential subscriptions.
  • Commercial services are subject to separate minimum commitments, as agreed at booking.

Services are charged only after completion.

3. Scheduling, Access & Missed Cleans

  • Cleans may take place up to 5 working days either side of the scheduled service date due to weather, operational constraints, public holidays, or route changes.
  • Customers must ensure bins are:
     
    • Emptied by the local authority
    • Left accessible at the boundary or agreed collection point
  • If bins are kept in a locked area, customers must ensure access is available on the scheduled clean date.

Where bins are unavailable, not emptied, removed before cleaning, or inaccessible, we reserve the right to charge for the visit due to wasted time and costs incurred.

4. Kerbside & Assisted Collections

  • Our service operates on a kerbside basis.
  • Bins will be returned where possible; otherwise, they may be left at the collection point.
  • Customers requiring assisted collections must notify us in advance.

5. Proof of Service

  • Customers will receive a tracking notification before arrival.
  • Photo proof of service will be uploaded following completion and made available via the tracking link.

6. Bin Condition & Contamination

We are unable to clean bins containing hazardous or excessive contamination, including (but not limited to):

  • Wet paint
  • Faeces
  • Oils or chemicals

Where contamination prevents cleaning, the standard charge will still apply.

If minor refuse remains after council collection, cleaning will be carried out at the operative’s discretion. Any removed refuse will be bagged and returned.

7. Multiple Bins & Rotation

Where a customer has more than one bin, only bins included in the agreed service may be cleaned.

Bin rotation is not permitted.

8. Deferrals & Temporary Pauses

If a clean needs to be skipped (e.g. holiday, unavailable bin), customers must notify us as early as possible.

Failure to do so may result in a charge for the scheduled visit.

9. Moving Address

If you move within our service area and provide at least 5 working days’ notice, your service can be transferred and rescheduled.

Insufficient notice may result in charges for missed cleans.

10. Wear & Markings

We are not responsible for the removal or fading of:

  • Paint
  • Stickers
  • Bin markings or labels

Normal wear caused by cleaning does not constitute damage.

11. Payments & Non-Payment

  • Invoices or statements are issued after service completion.
  • Payment is expected promptly via the provided payment link.
  • Accounts with unpaid balances may have services paused until payment is received.
  • We reserve the right to recover unpaid balances and, where necessary, pass outstanding debts to a third-party collection agency.

12. Cancellations

  • Residential services may only be cancelled after completion of the minimum 6 cleans.
  • All outstanding balances must be settled before cancellation is processed.
  • Cancellation requests must be made directly to our office.

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately where:

  • Abuse of staff occurs
  • Terms are breached
  • Payment issues persist

13. Conduct

Customers must treat our staff with respect.

Any verbal or physical abuse will result in work being stopped immediately, and charges may still apply.

14. Complaints

Any service concerns should be raised directly with us.

Where a complaint is found to be valid, we may offer a complimentary re-clean, at our discretion.

15. Pricing & VAT

All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.

Any changes to VAT will be reflected in future charges.

16. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Informing us of council collection changes
  • Keeping contact details up to date
  • Ensuring bin access on service days

17. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions.

The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.

18. Governing Contract

This contract is between The Dirt Destroyers Ltd and the customer only.

No third party has the right to enforce these Terms.
